Past year marked the first year of something I’m really excited to announce: TPEE! Back in October 2020, I launched my company with the goal to develop key technology for an exciting future. My kick-off project: developing a super-efficient, smart power converter to be used as a maximum power point tracker in Top Dutch Solar Racing’s new solar powered car. Green Spirit is participating in the Moroccan Solar Challenge and I want to take this opportunity to wish them the best of luck.
The smart converter is used in the car’s solar panel to extract as much green energy as possible. It uses gallium nitride
switches to achieve an efficiency of 99.6%. Developing this technology has been a great adventure, and hopefully it will open doors for many applications to come.
